St. David's Day

Gwenno created and co-written an Anthem for Saint David’s Day entitled ‘Cenwch y Clychau i Dewi’ (Ring the bells for Saint David) which was launched by the Assembly in  2008 as the central focus of a brand new pack of educational resources specifically for Welsh teachers to celebrate Saint  David’s Day.

This year, she was invited to become the Americymru Saint David’s Day Ambassador to the world in recognition of the pro-bono work she had completed, in developing Saint David’s Day activities in Wales and around the world.

Stand Up Sock It To Them Sister

Gwenno has written a book about women working in a heavily male dominated industry, that of stand-up comedy called ‘Stand Up & Sock it to them Sister. Funny, Feisty Females.’

The book was published in 2016 by Parthian books and has received 5/5 review on Amazon

“It was about time that a book of this nature was written and female performers given the recognition that they deserve. These amazing Role Models from the last hundred and fifty years or so that Gwenno has compiled, can only inspire future generations of funny women. She has done a great job.”

Passionate About Piaf

Gwenno is acknowledged as the ‘Welsh Piaf’ having performed her songs numerous times on radio, television and in concerts over the years. In 2015, she had a programme commissioned by BBC Radio Cymru to celebrate the centenary of Piaf’s birth in which she sang and was featured extensively throughout the show.

Gwenno has created a ‘one-woman’ tribute show linking some of her most famous songs with stories about her incredible life entitled Passionate about Piaf, and has even performed some of Piaf’s songs to great acclaim in the South of France in front of a French audience and delivered her show entirely through the medium of Flemish in Antwerp in Café Kiebooms. She has sung her Piaf songs in Los Angeles and twice in New York, in the internationally famous, New York, off-Broadway musical venue, Don’t Tell Mama.
